On April 9, 2005 Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar stepped into the Octagon and put on one of the best fights in the history of the UFC. The fight took place during the finals of the UFC’s new reality series “The Ultimate Fighter” season 1 and the winner was to be awarded a six figure contract with the UFC, in the end the UFC awarded both men a contract. The fight is highly considered by many as one of the most exciting and memorable fights in the history of not only the UFC, but MMA in general. The fight was credited by Dana White as the “most important fight in UFC history” and was also voted the greatest fight in UFC history.
