Tim Kennedy Confirmed For EA Sports MMA

A professional MMA Soldier will be going digital. EA Sports confirmed on Saturday that Strikeforce Middleweight Fighter/Army Special Forces Tim Kennedy will be added to the roster of their upcoming MMA video game.  Kennedy, a Green Beret was awarded a Bronze Star for his time in Afghanistan and  has a  11 -2 pro MMA record.

EA SPORTS MMA will feature Strikeforce and the league’s commentary team of Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo, as well as ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr. E  and referee “Big John” McCarthy will preside over the in-ring action for what is starting to look like a great MMA experience. Strikeforce and its fighters should benefit immensely from the exposure that this game will provide.

Some of the other fighters that will be on the roster are Fedor Emelianenko, Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock, Gegard Mousasi, Cung Le, Brett Rogers, Jake Shields, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, Josh Thompson, Robbie Lawler, Bobby Lashley, Marius Zaromskis, Scott Smith, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Matt Lindland, Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal, Shinya Aoki, Hidehiko Yoshida, Melvin Manhoef, Jay Hieron, Joe Riggs, and Nick Thompson.

The game is scheduled for release in fall 2010 on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
